Marketplace Austria Food is a yearly international B2B cooperation forum for Austrian food and drink producers and international importers and retailers. Our international guests get to travel to Vienna for face-to-face meetings with Austrian manufactures, visit companies, tour production sites and enjoy a serious of informative talks on the Austrian food industry. Every year, this event proves to be a fantastic chance for importers to source new and innovative products, meet suppliers and exchange ideas with decision-makers from around the world.
Usually, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Australia travels with a delegation of Australian and New Zealand buyers to Austria. This year, due to international COVID-19 travel restrictions, the event was aimed at European buyers only.
Even in the pandemic, buyers from all over Europe travelled to Vienna for this special occasion. Strict COVID protection measures were implemented, ranging from rapid COVID testing at the entrance for every participant, to mask wearing, safety screens and physical distancing.
We are proud to say that the event was a full success, with nearly 400 meetings happening on October 14th. We applaud our Viennese colleagues for the professional event they put together and the great feedback they received from all participants. Hopefully by next year, we will once again be able to organize our own delegation to Austria and show you the innovation and high-quality food and drink products there!
