Once again, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA organized an Austrian Country Pavilion at this year’s Sydney Build Expo, where Austrian companies leading in innovative and energy-efficient construction showcased some of the best products Austria has to offer in this sector.
At Australia’s largest construction and design show taking place from May 1-2 at the ICC Sydney, Austrian companies joined more than 600 other exhibitors to present their innovative products to an international audience to make new business contacts.
The exhibition’s main stage dedicated to the topic “Future Australia, Future Construction” and placed right next to the Austrian Country Pavilion, hosted several speakers - including the NSW Minister of Housing, The Hon. Rose Jackson, MLC, talking about innovating social and affordable housing using modern methods of construction (MMC), and David Harding, Executive Director, Business NSW, discussing how to create the necessary framework for investments into affordable housing.
We were honored by the Hon. Rose Jackson and David Harding coming to meet the Austrian pioneers in Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and in production lines for prefabricated brick walls.
