Austrian trade delegation in Riyadh
An Austrian trade delegation led by Dr. Richard Schenz, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, visited Riyadh from 11th – 12th of September 2021.
The objective of this trade delegation visit was to build a relationship and establish trade links with Saudi Arabia businessmen and companies and to explore business opportunities.
The Austrian trade delegation comprised representatives of leading Austrian renowned companies who are very active in the Health Sector, Automotive Industry, and Construction.
The delegation met with representatives of the Ministry of Investment, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and had a site visit at Voestalpine Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Badr AlBadr, CEO of National Companies Promotion Program and Mr. Mohammed Alhassanah, Deputy of International Partnership headed the meeting at the Ministry of Investment.
The Ministry of Investment presented information about the business opportunities in Saudi Arabia for Austrian companies in many sectors such as health, construction, infrastructure, and automotive industry and the GIGA project such as NEOM, and the Red sea.
Eng. Tariq Mohammed Al Haidari, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers showed interest to the Austrian companies and is planning to have a Saudi – Austrian Business Council.
The delegation had a plant visit at Voestalpine Saudi Arabia and a meeting with Mr. Mouammar El Sayed, the General Manager and Mr. Ziad El Kobrosly, CFO and Managing Director who accompanied the group on a short tour at their facilities.
