In a significant step toward fostering international sports collaboration, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Riyadh, in cooperation with Chaka2, successfully organized the Sports Learning Journey 2025 in Riyadh from May 19 to 21, 2025. This high-level future journey brought together an Austrian delegation to explore strategic partnerships and market opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s booming sports and entertainment industry.
The three-day journey offered a dynamic program packed with insightful meetings, site visits, and networking sessions with key Saudi stakeholders. The delegation engaged directly with institutions such as the Saudi Ministry of Sport, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Sela, PwC, the General Entertainment Authority, and the Sports Boulevard Foundation, among others.
One of the key highlights was the in-depth discussion with the Ministry of Sport, where delegates gained valuable insights into Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a global sports hub and its ambitions for hosting the FIFA World Cup 2034. Visits to innovative projects like the Sports Boulevard and events such as the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo showcased the Kingdom’s commitment to creating a vibrant, world-class sports and leisure ecosystem.
Participants also had the opportunity to attend a Roshn League football match and visit cultural landmarks such as Diriyah, offering a balanced experience of business, sport, and heritage.
This successful mission not only opened doors for future collaboration but also reinforced ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA’s vital role in supporting Austrian businesses expand into new and promising markets.
