WORLD PREMIERE: Sinfonia Orientalis | 6 December @Cairo opera house

On 6 December 2025, the Cairo Opera House will witness a World Premiere:  Austrian composer Roland Baumgartner will officially present his Sinfonia Orientalis “Die Aegyptische”, marking a milestone collaboration between the Austrian composer and the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. The work is expected to weave contemporary symphonic language with evocative colors inspired by Egypt’s cultural and historical landscape, offering audiences a first encounter with Baumgartner’s newest large-scale creation. The program will be led by distinguished conductor Ahmed El Saedi, whose long-standing artistic leadership with the CSO continues to elevate the orchestra’s international profile. The premiere is presented in collaboration with Arcadia Radio, Austria, underscoring an ongoing cultural exchange and strengthening musical ties between Egypt and Europe. With its blend of classical masterworks and a major new composition, “World Premieres I” promises an evening of artistic discovery and refined performance—one that reinforces Cairo’s position as a vibrant hub for orchestral music in the region.

Austrian Business Barometer Survey 2025

In 2025, Egypt was part of the annual Austrian Business Barometer Survey conducted globally by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA and the Vienna University of Economics and Business again. The survey was conducted among the Austrian subsidiaries and their partners in Egypt.
