Cosmin Cârstea, CEO DP World Romania said ¨We are living in unprecedented times and we must look forward to all investment opportunities. The new RORO and cargo terminals add to the diversification of services at the Port of Constanța and bring even more benefits to our customers. Coupled with the wide range of intermodal services we offer at the Port, and our reliable sailing routes, DP World will be able to offer integrated services, more flexibility and create quicker and more efficient transport options for all our collaborators, not just now but long into the future.¨

The company is making efforts to optimise the supply chain and create added value through digitalization, by implementing a new software designed to integrate the entirety of services in the Port. This will inevitably lead to shorter waiting times for cargo trucks, more predictability and real-time transparency, quick placement and execution of client orders and streamlining of customs procedures. The development of the new terminals is encouraging companies to make increasing use of sustainable modes of transport such as rail and water.

The investment is slated to be operational early next year and the entire building process will be finalised by the end of 2023. We are looking forward to announcing its inauguration and witnessing the first ships that will sail in and out of the new terminals!
