The Danube flows for 2,857 km from the Black Forest to the Black Sea, passing though 10 countries on the way. The area surrounding and shaping it is far greater in size, however, and home to 115 million people. Strong relationships and close inter-regional cooperation enhanced by a supra-regional approach in economic and commercial strategies, have given rise to new and innovative options and solutions across the entire Danube region – truly making the river a stream of opportunities.
Austria currently holds the presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and the focus of the DANUBE REGION BUSINESS SUMMIT will be the region’s economic aspects and potential for innovation, exploring the region’s expanding economic importance and presenting export and investment opportunities along with first-class nearshoring locations. The talks, panel discussions and workshop are intended to foster creativity, achieve interesting insights and present new ideas.
