ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Riyadh successfully organised a Trade Mission on Railways 2025 in Saudi Arabia, gathering a delegation of leading Austrian railway companies and experts. The two-day programme aimed to deepen cooperation between Austria and Saudi Arabia in railway infrastructure, rolling stock, signalling systems, and urban mobility, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives to expand and modernise its transport network.
The Austrian participants took part in B2B meetings, site visits, and technical workshops with key Saudi stakeholders from the public and private sectors, including representatives of major rail and metro projects in Riyadh. The mission provided valuable insights into ongoing developments and future investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving rail sector.
The event successfully showcased Austria’s strong capabilities in the railway industry and opened new channels for collaboration with Saudi partners, reinforcing Austria’s commitment to supporting sustainable and innovative transport solutions in the region.
