Together with Austrian Ambassador Katharina Wieser and colleagues from the Austrian Embassy, we recently visited Swarovski Manufacturing Thailand.
Established in Thailand in 1988, Swarovski Manufacturing Thailand today employs around 5,000 people, making it Austria’s largest employer in Thailand and one of the most significant Austrian investments in the country.
During the visit, we had the opportunity to learn more about Swarovski’s manufacturing activities and to see first-hand how Austrian expertise, quality and innovation are combined with the renowned craftsmanship of Thai employees. The site plays an important role in the production of Swarovski jewelry and accessories for customers around the world.
The visit also highlighted the strong and long-standing economic ties between Austria and Thailand. Swarovski is an excellent example of how Austrian companies have successfully established and continuously developed their operations in Thailand, contributing to local employment, know-how and value creation.
