Together with Austrian Ambassador Katharina Wieser, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Bangkok recently visited iSi Automotive Thailand in Chonburi, gaining first-hand insights into the company’s production facilities and operations.
Headquartered in Vienna, iSi Automotive has been active in Thailand since 2011 and is celebrating its 15th anniversary in the country this year. The company employs around 2,000 people at its Chonburi facility, where it produces airbag cushions for the international automotive industry.
During the visit, the delegation toured the production site and learned more about the manufacturing processes behind these safety-critical automotive components. The facility demonstrates how Austrian engineering and technology are combined with Thailand’s strong manufacturing capabilities to serve customers in the global automotive sector.
With 15 years of operations in Thailand, iSi Automotive is a strong example of the long-term presence of Austrian companies in Thailand and their contribution to the country’s industrial and automotive landscape.
