Step into the Austrian Play Arcade: Spielschön at GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 and, for the first time,

the Austrian Sound Station: Hörschön to experience a curated showcase of Austria’s most exciting developers and game music creators.

Accidently Awesome

Anton Klinger is an independent game developer and programmer known for unconventional mechanics. His action game Roto Force (PC & mobile) earned an Honorable Mention for Best Indie Game on Google Play in 2023. He has since self-published Toni’s Turbo Tunnel and Blockfusion on Android, ported Mosa Lina to Nintendo Switch, and works as a contract developer. He co-runs Accidently Awesome, an Austrian studio turning playful, unconventional ideas into memorable games. Roto Force exemplifies their style with fast-paced twin-stick action, bold visuals, and energetic sound design.


Belvedere Museum (with Art Leap)

The Belvedere Museum in Vienna is a leading European art institution, home to masterpieces from the Middle Ages to Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss. Through its award-winning Roblox series Art Leap, the museum transforms iconic artworks into immersive digital experiences, most recently bringing Vienna’s musical heritage to life with The Philharmonics, featuring Gustav Mahler’s orchestral world.


Flat Head Studio

Flat Head Studio is an award-winning Austrian VR game development studio. As a small but dedicated team, they focus on engaging gameplay and strong visual creativity. Their debut title, We Are One (2023), combines mind-bending time puzzles with shooter action, showcasing their talent for strategic and innovative design. With Deadly Delivery, the studio shifts to online VR co-op horror, where up to four players deliver parcels into haunted, procedurally generated mines while avoiding monsters and surviving the chaos. With Deadly Delivery and We Are One, Flat Head Studio explores two distinct sides of gameplay innovation: fast-paced cooperative survival and clever, time-based strategic coordination.


Happy Donkey Music

Happy Donkey Music / Raimud Hepp specializes in music composition, production, and other music services such as orchestration and sound programming. With a foundation in Film & TV, we bring a clear understanding of narrative pacing and emotional continuity, while having production-ready modular workflows that integrate into modern game pipelines. Furthermore, Raimund worked as sound/synth programmer, orchestrator, arranger or composer for additional music in the music team for high-budged movies like Roland Emmerich’s WWII drama “Midway”, the SciFi “Moonfall”, 'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' with Nicolas Cage, or the Apple+ Series 'Liaison'.


Mi'pu'mi Games

Mipumi is a boutique studio based in Vienna, Austria founded in 2009. We have a strong commitment to help games to grow to new horizons. Our most recent projects range from platform ports such as the PlayStation 5 port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to team augmentation for IO Interactive (Hitman, Bond), Remedy (Alan Wake 2, Control), MachineGames and Jagex (Runescape: Dragonwilds) and co-development such as the collaboration with CI Games on Lords of the Fallen 2.0. Our track record is a testament to the longevity of the co-developments we work on and the confidence we have built with our trusted clients over years.


REDOX

Redox Interactive is an independent game and software development studio based in Salzburg, at the edge of the Austrian Alps. Combining expertise in art, game development, and web technologies, the studio creates high-quality entertainment games and innovative digital experiences. Their interdisciplinary approach allows them to deliver engaging, gamified web and app solutions with a strong creative.


stillalive studios

stillalive studios, based in Innsbruck, Austria, is known for immersive simulation and strategy games that blend technical precision with innovative gameplay. The studio gained international recognition with titles like Bus Simulator 21 and Drone Swarm, delivering realistic, high-quality interactive worlds across global platforms. Their newest title, BusBound, turns everyday public transport into a fast-paced, social simulation. Players manage passengers, coordinate routes, and respond to unexpected disruptions in real time, transforming urban chaos into strategic, cooperative fun.


Trimond Studios

Philipp Lehner (Trimond Studios) is a musician and game developer known for his Half-Life mod collection Halfquake Trilogy and music-focused games. His work has been featured in PC Gamer, PC Action, and Rock Paper Shotgun, with a ModDB nomination for Best Original Art in 2010. His Cry of Fear soundtrack has over 1 million streams. His game Faith in Despair is a grimdark roguelike deckbuilder where players, as a fallen angel in hell, craft custom cards and battle Death for eternity.


Vienna Synchron Stage

Vienna Synchron Stage gives composers direct access to Vienna’s top session musicians, from full orchestras to specialized soloists, delivering precise, high-energy performances. With pristine acoustics, cutting-edge technology, and a Hollywood-proven workflow, Synchron Stage helps composers create stunning scores for film, TV, and games quickly and efficiently.


We Cure Boredom

We Cure Boredom is an independent game studio based in Vienna and Bucharest, founded by Marius Cotora and Alex Minu. They create casual PC games that blend smart systems with accessible design. VOID TECH puts players in the role of an orbital technician repairing satellites and managing space debris. Features include realistic zero‑G EVA, sustainability-focused missions, hazards like solar storms, and a hidden corporate mystery revealed through encrypted logs.
