Thanks to a new agreement between Austria and the U.S., apprentices can now gain valuable work experience and travel opportunities in the United States during their apprenticeship.
Who Qualifies?
- Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old and hold Austrian citizenship.
- Apprentices should be currently enrolled in or have completed an apprenticeship within the last 12 months.
- Employment with a US-based company or nonprofit organization should span between 6 to 12 months.
How to Obtain a J-1 Visa?
To apply for a J-1 exchange visa, visit the U.S. Consulate in Austria with a DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility. Interested applicants should contact a sponsoring agency that provides comprehensive support throughout the application process.
