Since participating in our very first GoUSA program in Boston in 2022, stappone has been taking decisive steps toward entering the US market.
In August 2025, CEO Peter Krimmer and Marketing Manager Susanne Bruckner traveled to New York to meet with Victoria Liedl, Head of Innovation and Technology at Advantage Austria. The focus of the meeting was stappone’s participation in the CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) in Boston in early October. This internationally renowned innovation hub provides an ideal platform to raise stappone’s visibility within the dynamic US ecosystem and to establish valuable connections.
The stAPPtronics GmbH headquarter is based in Vorarlberg, Austria and was founded in 2016. stappone’s smart insole systems enable precise real-time motion analysis – a benefit for medicine and rehabilitation as well as for sports. Patients benefit from more efficient therapies, doctors and physiotherapists from data-driven decisions and trainers from individually optimized training and rehabilitation programs. The market conditions in the US are ideal for stappone, as demand for digital health solutions and wearables is growing rapidly.
stappone also has a presence in the Bahamas: Dr. Kenneth Kemp, an award-winning specialist in foot and ankle treatments, has been successfully using stappone’s intelligent sensor soles at his clinic “Bahamas Foot & Ankle“ for over a year. Read more about that collaboration here.
Additionally, stappone recently participated in a pitch and networking event in Boston co-hosted by Advantage Austria and OPEN AUSTRIA, representing another milestone for the company to showcase its innovative solutions to an international audience, initiate new partnerships, and pave the way for sustainable expansion into the US. As CEO Peter Krimmer puts it: “Our mission is to bring lab-grade and gait analysis into physiotherapy and medical practices - making them indispensable tools for prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation. By integrating precise movement assessments into everyday care, we aim to support healthier, pain-free lives for patients and athletes alike.”
