On Friday, March 10, the Austrian Trade Commission Los Angels awarded six companies with the prestigious US-A-BIZ Award for their outstanding achievements in the USA.

AVL CALIFORNIA TECHNICAL CENTER - for their contribution to sustainable aviation and their innovative battery solution that powered 'Alice' - the very first entirely battery-operated electric passenger aircraft. Alice successfully completed its maiden test flight in September 2022.
...in the category INVESTMENT:
PLASSER AMERICAN CORPORATION - 2022 marked a milestone year for Plasser American. They heavily invested in the implementation and execution of their North America strategy and thus significantly expanded their presence in the U.S. As part of their investment, Plasser American acquired a U.S. startup with state-of-the-art ultrasonic technology for railway inspection. Plasser also introduced the world's first battery-hybrid powered rail milling machine for railway maintenance.
