New York’s art scene felt a strong Viennese pulse this spring as Austrian galleries and artists made their mark at two major NYC art fairs.
Artexpo New York
Now in its 49th edition, Artexpo New York is one of the world’s largest and longest‑running fine art fairs, bringing together over 200 international galleries and 1,000+ artists from more than 20 countries.
Vienna‑based Gallery Steiner celebrated their 10th anniversary at the Artexpo representing Austrian and European artists with an impressive presentation at Booth 209 — a great stop for collectors and art lovers looking for bold contemporary positions.
We had the pleasure of hosting Dominic Steiner, Director of Gallery Steiner, at our offices to mark their anniversary at Artexpo New York. Guests enjoyed an intimate preview of the collection and the chance to meet Vijit Hooda and Elke Schmölzer, two internationally acclaimed artists based in Austria.
Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair
Brooklyn’s first and only fair dedicated exclusively to fine art printmaking returned for its second edition, featuring 60+ print-focused galleries, studios, and artists alongside talks, live demos, and guided tours.
Vienna's Viadukt with founder Bernadette Meisel presented a new screenprint edition with striking, eye‑catching print and fold techniques on Level B1 — a great example of how Vienna continues to push the medium forward.
