High-performance materials for an icon of American automotive engineering
At a privately held press event at Ford Detroit Central, the 2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC was unveiled — and engineering played a key role behind the scenes from an Austrian-American company. Under the leadership of Sieglinde Kaiser, POLYTEC FOHA Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of POLYTEC GROUP, contributed multiple carbon-fiber exterior components and plastic exterior parts for Ford’s newest high-performance Mustang variants, parts developed in close collaboration with Ford Performance.
Key contributions include:
- High-wing carbon
- Carbon front-end and rear components, carbon mirror caps
- Carbon hood insert
- Spoiler module, gurney and blowmoulded spoiler (plastic painted)
Based in Warren, Michigan, POLYTEC FOHA Inc. specializes in advanced plastic and composite solutions for the automotive industry and works with leading OEMs on demanding series and performance applications. These lightweight, precision components support both performance and design, reinforcing the Mustang Dark Horse SC’s motorsport DNA.
The Mustang Dark Horse SC can be seen at the Detroit Motor Show, alongside other performance editions featuring POLYTEC FOHA components.
We were thankful to POLYTEC FOHA for hosting our networking event in Detroit last June!
