Subsidiary Spotlight: Künz

listen
Next time you land in New York and head down the FDR along Manhattan’s East River, you might catch sight of Austrian engineering at work as a Künz crane, operated by the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY), lifts and moves materials along the waterfront.

Founded in Austria, Künz is a global specialist in custom crane systems for ports, shipyards, steel plants, rail yards and heavy industrial logistics. The company’s engineered-to-order solutions are built for durability and performance in demanding environments and trusted by infrastructure operators around the world.

Back in the U.S. Southeast, we saw Künz cranes playing a major role during our recent mission at South Carolina Ports — where electric rail-mounted gantry cranes supplied by Künz are being installed and commissioned at the Port of Charleston’s Leatherman Rail Facility to expand rail-cargo handling capacity and support millions of container lifts annually.

In the United States, Künz serves customers through Künz America Inc., with its office in Raleigh, North Carolina — providing sales and service support across the American market.
