Today we live in a time when climate change is hitting us and one problem is overtaking the other.
But the solutions for us and our future already exist. This is impressively demonstrated every year at the Energy Globe Award, an initiative from Austria.
The "Energy Globe, World Award for Sustainability", which has been held annually since 2000, is the world's most important environmental award with over 180 participating countries and a total of over 30,000 environmental projects submitted.
This was also confirmed by the American agency Arthur D. Little.
It is awarded annually in all participating countries. The absolute highlight every year is the Energy Globe World Award ceremony.
The national awards are organized by Advantage Austria, Energy Globe's main partner.
Around 3,000 implemented sustainable environmental projects from over 180 countries are submitted every year.
For the jury, chaired by Maneka Gandhi and made up of members from all 5 continents, it was an almost impossible task to select the best of the best.
The aim of the non-profit Energy Globe Foundation is to make the sustainable showcase projects from around the world known and thus also to make know-how, technologies and financial resources available in a global cooperation.
We have to look positively and motivated into the future. Proper environmental protection brings advantages for the environment and also for the implementer.
